Description

Precision DC ammeter shunt with 75mV output for medium-current measurement. Converts DC current into a proportional millivolt signal readable by a standard DC ammeter. Built to U.S. Military Specification A-A-55524, accuracy ±0.25%. The 883 series covers 150A to 500A, primarily with 75mV output, and is suited to DC power distribution, battery bank monitoring, industrial rectifier systems, and electroplating.

Note: Most 883 shunts output 75mV — ensure your DC ammeter is rated for 75mV input. Pair with a Crompton 242, 243, or 244 DC ammeter for a complete metering solution. For higher currents, see the 884 series (600A–1000A).
